1

Upload Your Video

Drag and drop or click to select any video file. MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV and more are all supported.

2

Set the Speed

Pick a slow motion preset — 0.5x, 0.25x, 0.1x — or drag the custom slider for any value between 0.1x and 0.9x. Preview updates instantly.

3

Download Instantly

Click Create and FFmpeg processes your slow motion video right in the browser. Download immediately with no waiting.

Everything You Need

A complete slow motion video maker running entirely in your browser.

0.1x to 0.9x Speed Range

From ultra slow motion at 0.1x to gentle 0.9x — pick a preset or use the slider for any value in between.

Live Preview at Exact Speed

The preview plays at the selected slow motion speed in real time — see exactly how the output will look before exporting.

Pitch-Corrected Audio

Audio is processed with FFmpeg's atempo filter so voices and music stay natural at any slow motion speed.

Duration Preview

See the new output length before export — a 30-second clip at 0.5x becomes 60 seconds. Shown on every card.

100% Private

All processing runs in your browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly. Your video never leaves your device.

All Formats Supported

Accepts MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV, FLV and more. Export as MP4 (H.264), WebM, or MOV.

Frequently Asked Questions

What slow motion speeds are available?
The tool supports speeds from 0.1x (one-tenth speed) up to 0.9x. Use the preset buttons for common values like 0.5x or 0.25x, or the custom slider for any precise value in between.
How much longer will the video be?
The new duration is shown in the summary before you export. The formula is: new duration = original duration divided by speed. A 30-second video at 0.5x becomes 60 seconds. At 0.25x it becomes 2 minutes. Each preset card shows the resulting duration after you load a video.
Will the audio pitch change at slow motion speed?
When "Keep Audio (pitch-corrected)" is selected, FFmpeg's atempo filter adjusts tempo while preserving pitch so voices and music remain natural. You can also remove audio entirely for silent slow motion.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly. Your video file never leaves your device at any point during the process.
Is this the same as true slow motion from a camera?
True slow motion is recorded at high frame rates (120fps, 240fps) and played at 24-30fps. Our tool slows existing footage by stretching the duration of each frame. This works well for mild slow motion but very extreme speeds on standard footage may appear less smooth than native high-fps slow motion.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on Android and iOS using Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. No app download required.

Free Online Slow Motion Video Maker — Create Slow Mo in Your Browser

Our online slow motion video maker lets you slow down any video to create dramatic slow motion effects — from gentle 0.9x to ultra slow 0.1x — processed entirely in your browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly. No uploads, no server, complete privacy.

How Slow Motion Works with FFmpeg

Slowing down a video with FFmpeg uses the setpts (Set Presentation Timestamp) filter. At 0.5x speed, the PTS of each frame is doubled, meaning each frame is held twice as long during playback. For audio, the atempo filter adjusts playback tempo while preserving pitch. Both filters are applied in a single encoding pass.

Choosing the Right Slow Motion Speed

For gentle slow motion in tutorials or presentations, 0.5x to 0.75x works well. For dramatic cinematic effects, 0.25x creates a strong slow motion feel. For ultra slow motion analysis of sports or action footage, 0.1x provides maximum stretch, though smoothness depends on the original frame rate of your source video.
