Everything You Need
A complete audio removal tool — zero installs, zero uploads.
Complete Audio Strip
Removes all audio channels and tracks from the video. The output file contains zero audio data — confirmed by the result stats showing 0 audio tracks.
No Video Quality Loss
Only the audio stream is removed. The video frames are re-encoded at your chosen bitrate — High quality mode preserves original visual fidelity.
100% Private
Your video is never uploaded anywhere. Everything runs client-side using the browser's Canvas and MediaRecorder APIs. Zero server involvement.
Instant Preview
After processing, a built-in video player lets you preview the silent output before downloading. Confirm audio is fully removed with your own ears.
Multiple Output Formats
Download as WebM, MP4, or MKV. WebM offers the best browser compatibility. MP4 and MKV use the same WebM stream with the correct file extension for maximum playback support.
Smaller File Size
Removing the audio track reduces file size. The exact reduction depends on original audio bitrate — typically 5–15% smaller for standard audio tracks.

Free Online Audio Remover — Mute Videos in Your Browser
Our free online audio remover lets you strip the audio track from any video — MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV and more. No software needed, no file uploads, completely private. Processing runs inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas and MediaRecorder APIs.
Why Remove Audio From a Video?
There are many reasons to mute a video. The most common is removing background music that could trigger copyright claims on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. Screen recordings often capture system audio or microphone noise that should be removed before sharing. Silent video loops are commonly used for website hero backgrounds, digital signage, and presentations. Removing audio also reduces file size, which helps when uploading to platforms with strict size limits.
How Browser-Based Audio Removal Works
The tool plays your video through a hidden HTML5 video element and captures only the video frames onto a Canvas element. The canvas stream is then fed into a MediaRecorder with no audio tracks attached — producing a completely silent WebM output. The video quality is controlled by setting the MediaRecorder bitrate. Because no audio stream is included in the MediaRecorder setup, the output is guaranteed to contain zero audio data.
